Creativity, flexible thinking, the ability to approach a situation/problem from various perspectives, as skills that any individual should have acquire through education, have come in the forefront of researched topics in recent decades.The initial training of teachers for the primary and preschool cycle aims on the one hand the formation of specific skills (professional and transversal), which are the basis of their future profession, and, on the other hand, their endowment with the above-mentioned qualities, indispensable throughout his career. The development of lateral thinking is in this case a must do. This book aims to clarify to what extent the study of music should or should not be a basic element in the initial training of teachers for the primary and preschool cycle, taking into account the multitude and complexity of the relationship between music and the human being.

Loredana Muntean is a Romanian author. She is an active author who has worked for multiple years in the education sector.

  • 2000-2013: Music teacher (Oltea Doamna School, Oradea)
  • 1998-2000: Primary school teacher (Oltea Doamna School, Oradea)
  • 1995-1998: Educator (Oradea, Orphanage)

  • 2018-2020: Degree in Pedagogy (Babes-Bolyai University, Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences)
  • 2009 – 2012: Doctor’s Degree in Music (Gheorghe Dima Music Academy, Cluj/Napoca)
  • 1995-2000: Degree in Music Pedagogy (University of Oradea, Faculty of Music)
