Michal Cukier
Michal Cukier is an accomplished Procurement leader, with 15+ years of progressive international supply chain experience in both established & emerging markets from global organizations (Reckitt Benckiser, Schiff Nutrition, Philips Electronics). He has spent the last 12 years working in the consumer health division of a major CPG company where he developed in-depth knowledge and expertise in building robust procurement strategies for direct material spend categories with focus on efficacious sourcing process, supply assurance, cost, and quality.
Michal holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering business management from Coventry University, and a master’s degree in Business & Technology from Lodz University of Technology. He is certified in Leadership Excellence through successful completion of Collaborative Leadership Development program “Pathways to Leadership®” from Verus Global. He is embracing the life of a global citizen – having worked and lived in 6 different countries (Poland, Scotland, England, France, United States and Mexico) made him culturally savvy and skillful in building high-performing teams. Michal has made multiple valuable contributions to the industry, including his published articles on supply chain. He authored a series of papers on procurement transformations, and application of disruptive solutions that allowed automation of purchasing activities. In one of his articles, he introduces the concept of “Procurification”, procurement excellence frameworks, which he invented, calling for more attention towards the sourcing transparency that yields positive environmental impact for the planet and humanity. In 2024 he founded Procurify Partners, a business startup designed to lead advancements in ingredients procurement and distribution practices. By promoting sustainable sourcing and streamlining supply chains, Michal’s project presents a viable answer to the pressing problems plaguing consumer health industry today – adulteration, mislabeling, and supply chain vulnerabilities. His work has been cited in reputable business magazines.
Michal serves as a certified member of American Purchasing Society (APS) and is registered with Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS). He is an active member and participant in industry forums as Leaders in Procurement, a networking group for Procurement and Supply Chain Professionals, SupplySide West, an annual conference for nutraceutical industry, as well as several other professional associations for procurement professionals such as Global Sourcing Association (GSA), Next Level Purchasing Association (NLPA). In addition, he has been accepted as a member into the prestigious Forbes Council.
He is an author of a book trilogy titled “The Procurement Journey” where he studies purchasing transformation, analyzes rapid advancements in emerging technologies and how digitalization has influenced supply chain strategies. He presents various approaches and discusses winning sourcing solutions based on wealth of both academic knowledge and professional experience in sourcing management he has collected throughout his career.
