Antoine Roger Evouna
Antoine Roger EVOUNA was born in December, Saturday, Christmas, 1971 in Yaoundé (Cameroon).
He is ordained a priest in December, Saturday, 11th 1999 in the same city.
He is a holder of a Master Degree in Theology (patristic Ethics), obtained in 2006. In December, Wednesday, 13th 2023, he obtains a STD (Sacred Theology Doctorate) in Patristics Sciences under the title: Hope in Ignatius of Antioch: scriptural studies on his Letter to Ephesians.
He served as a School Superintendent in the archdiocese of Yaoundé from February, 2004 to April 2007 and then, as the Principal of a Catholic high school from December 2007 to November 2008.
He dispensed two years’ Seminar on Management techniques applied to the parish pastoral ministry. He gave conferences in the Catholic University of central Africa (Catholic Institute of Yaoundé- Nkolbisson) and in the NGOYA Theological School.
He was one of the Representives of the Catholic Church in the International Summit entitled: ‘’Africa 21’’, under the framework of the activities of the 50th Anniversary of the Reunification of Cameroun.
He was a Special invitee to the summit of States of the Cemac Zone, under the theme: Surety and Security in the Central Africa in february 2014.
He has effectuated his academic researches in many catholic Universities and Institutions, from 2011 to 2023.
Creator and Animator of a popular emission on Facebook and on Radio Maria, entitled: Faith and Culture.
Lecture in Patrology at ISSR (Institut Superieur des Sciences Religieuses/ Higher Institute of Religious Sciences) since 2019.
Lecture of the History and Roman Ancient Civilization at ENS (Ecole Normale Superieure/ Higher Education Training School) Since 2025.
Director of the Cathedral Theological School of the Yaoundé Archidiocese since July 2024.
Participant in the Synod for Parish Priests at Rome (April-Mai 2024) and chosen among the seven World Delegates for the Audience with pope Francis on May, 2nd 2024.
Official Producer of films and official Artist of the liturgical music.
After having been the Rector of the Cathedral and of the Marian Sanctuary (of the sanctuarized apparition of the Virgin Mary), he is ministering now as the Parish priest of the Saint-Benedict Parish of Ekounou/Yaoundé.
After an 88 pages unedited booklet entitled: “A priest, prophet in the nowa- days’ city,” in 2019 (all the 2000 examplaries sold once), he publishes now a three hundred pages book, his very first edited book entitled: Hope in Ignatius of Antioch: scriptural study on his letter to Ephesians.
